At Asphalt Construction NT we are all about sustainable road building practices. We source the highest quality of materials to construct our pavements - asphalt that is carbon negative, ultra-durable, and engineered to withstand the harshness of the NT climate.

 

We build asphalt roads, car parks, footpaths, and driveways. We construct ramps and speed bumps, and reinstate trenches. We repair potholes, offer a bitumen emulsion spray seal package, and have an industry consultancy service. More info on the Services Page.​

We currently offer our services in Darwin, Batchelor, Jabiru, Adelaide River, Pine Creek, Katherine, and Mataranka. If you live further out, please don't hesitate to get in touch, we can discuss work in remote areas, and in many cases we can make it happen! We are looking to expand to cover all corners of the Northern Territory.​

Starting out as Darwin Pothole Repairs, Asphalt Construction NT has quickly expanded to take on larger construction projects in the Top End. It is run by Darwin local Gordon Alexander, a former spray seal and asphalt supervisor with nearly 15 years experience. 

​

Gordon has a unique outlook on the industry, having worked his way through the ranks from operational to managerial roles. ​He is a qualified and experienced bitumen sprayer operator, who is equally comfortable overseeing the screed and levels of an asphalt paver. 

 

He holds qualifications from the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) in Spray Seal Selection & Design, Asphalt Placement and Compaction, Spray Sealing Field Procedures, and Working Safely With Bitumen.

Gordon has witnessed firsthand the environmental impact of road construction while working for major bitumen and asphalt contractors. He started Asphalt Construction NT with a vow to do things in a more eco-friendly way, starting with the exclusive use of modern, ultra-durable, and carbon negative products that outperform traditional hot mix asphalts.  ​​
